The City of Countryside Municipal Complex, is a combined, 34,638 sf city administration and police headquarters. The site was strategically selected to be a catalyst for future development for the city and be an educational hub for sustainable design. The contemporary design is welcoming to all visitors with a two-story entry lobby that is full of natural light and features an educational display about the facility’s sustainable LEED Gold design and aspirational Net-Zero Energy design elements.

The brick and stone were originally chosen more for their aesthetics, rather than for their ‘Net-Zero’ aspects.” Glen-Gery’s Sioux City brick collection provided sleek styling for the project, while Halquist Stone added a linear, ageless beauty to the building’s façade. - Jack Hayes, President of FQC™

Designed by the Dewberry Architects and constructed by FQC™ Management, the 34,500 square foot complex has blazed the trail for other national civic buildings to become totally sustainable. Brick, being one of the most sustainable materials on earth, was a natural fit for this project. Brickworks Supply Center, a pioneer in both sustainable products and education, was the specified supplier for this high-profile project.
